A.W.P.S. has extensive operational experience in North Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Latin America. Additionally, A.W.P.S. team members have provided executive protection, threat analyses, estate security, premises liability reduction services and on-site property security assessments and audits to numerous clients in the U.S. And of course, Alexander Worldwide Protective Services operates in the Washington, D.C. area, providing personal protection to executives and dignitaries in and around the beltway.
Travis Alexander is President and CEO of Alexander Worldwide Protective Services.
Mr. Alexander brings more than 25 years experience in security and safety related services to the assistance of A.W.P.S. clients. A.W.P.S. provides a vast array of security, safety and scenario based training and consulting services to various governmental, and entities in the private sector.
Mr. Alexander’s background includes a four (4) year stint as a member of an elite Personal Protection Service (PPS) unit, which provided personal security services for two U.S. Ambassadors. Mr. Alexander also provided PPS services to then Secretary of State Cyrus Vance; additionally Mr. Alexander specialized in security system design and counter terrorism for U.S. missions abroad. Included in his background is specialized security work with a Chicago S.W.AT. unit, security consultant to several corporations and a former self-defense, close quarter combat instructor for the United States Marine Corps. He is a member of the Nine Lives Association, a select group of Law Enforcement, Military, and Security professionals.
Mr. Alexander is founder of both the “Street Safe” and “Property Safe” series of training seminars that have been provided to some of the largest organizations in the country including the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which has included these programs in their drug elimination and technical assistance initiatives.
Travis Alexander has lectured on crime, terrorism and security and has had several articles published. Mr. Alexander is a University of Illinois graduate and speaks German, Greek and Spanish and has operational exposure to Arabic.
